The re-covering project for the 108 seats in the lower theatre was completed in May 2015. The seats also were inspected for loose springs and missing pins. There are 107 seats in the upper house which have been re-covered as well.
Thank you so much for those who donated denim jeans for the seat covers! A great crew was able to trace and cut a pattern to get the two pieces of denim for each seat. The two pieces were then sewn together to make the seat cover itself. Others cut new foam pieces and reassembled the seats. Through the help of many volunteers the seat re-covering project is complete. Everyone’s help was greatly appreciated.
In April of 2018 the seats were once again inspected and recovered if needed by a group of generous volunteers.
In January of 2020 we got the opportunity to replace the seats in the lower theatre!
The seats that were still in decent operable condition were sold and raffled!
